Bakhoor is a traditional incense made by blending aromatic woods, resins, essential oils, and natural ingredients. When heated, it releases a fragrant smoke or vapor that’s used to scent the home, enhance spiritual moments, and create a welcoming, peaceful environment.

No, please do not light the piece of bakhoor directly. The bakhoor cannot be lit on fire but it rather needs a medium to burn. Please use the Dukhni burner or charcoal or an electric burner to burn the bakhoor.

The piece of bakhoor does not melt or disintegrate. At the end of 3.5 hours, all the oil in the piece will have diffused. After 3.5 hours of continuous burning of a bakhoor piece on the Dukhni burner, the piece needs to be discarded inspite of the residual scent in the bakhoor that you will notice.

No, bakhoor is intended for single use. After a full session of around 3 to 3.5 hours, the fragrant oils will have completely diffused. Even if the piece still has a faint scent, it will no longer emit fragrance effectively and should be discarded after use.

While the box includes 1 tealight candle to get you started, for future uses, we recommend using a 12gm/3.5-hr burntime unscented tealight candle for best results. It provides a consistent, low flame that lasts the full duration of the bakhoor session.

Yes, when used with the Dukhni Smokeless Burner, it’s safe for homes with kids and pets. The low flame stays contained, and the bakhoor is non-toxic. We recommend keeping the burner on a stable surface and out of their reach during use.
