In 1979, political unrest forced the family to leave Yemen. They settled in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, carrying not only their belongings, but the legacy of bakhoor-making with them. Out of this migration, Dukhni was born - a way to preserve and share a heritage built on fragrance, faith, and fine craftsmanship.
