FAQs
No, charcoal is one option, not a requirement. Bakhoor can be burned three ways: on the Dukhni Smokeless Burner with a tealight candle, on a charcoal disc, or on an electric burner. The Dukhni burner is the easiest way to get started, since it needs no charcoal or open flame, just place a piece on the plate and light the tealight beneath it.
Approximately 3–3.5 hours when burned on the Dukhni Smokeless Burner. The fragrance releases steadily throughout this period. Once the scent has faded, even if some material remains, the piece should be discarded rather than reused. Burn times may be shorter when using charcoal instead.
Each sachet contains one piece of bakhoor. The Variety Box includes 10 scents, 2 sachets per scent. 20 sachets in total.

Our Story
In 1907, in the port city of Aden, our founder's great-grandmother was handcrafting bakhoor at home. That tradition passed through generations - and Dukhni is its continuation. Rooted in faith, memory, and the Arabian love of scent.

The Dukhni Amal Project
Every purchase gives back. Through the Amal Project, Dukhni provides hot meals in Yemen and Gaza, warm clothing in Lebanon, and sponsors an orphan from Yemen. As Dukhni grows, so does our commitment.
