The quality of the raw material and natural ingredients used, the distillation process and the base oil selected for longevity and lasting are the main causes of variation and increase in price of attars. Ingredients such as Oud, Rose & Sandalwood are some of the most expensive and sought after ingredients in the fragrance world. Adding varieties of these to attars increases its cost.
